偕醫館與馬偕醫院
MacKay Clinic and MacKay Hospital

「滬尾偕醫館」1901年曾因馬偕辭世而一度關閉，直到1906年加拿大派宋雅各醫師（Dr.J.Y.Ferguson）來臺才重開偕醫館。後來因應時代需求而將醫院規模加大，1912年臺北的馬偕紀念醫院落成使用，滬尾偕醫館功成身退，原本的館舍曾先後作為神學院、圖書館、幼稚園和學生宿舍等使用。現今指定已指定為古蹟。

 

After MacKay’s death in 1901, MacKay Clinic was closed until 1906, when a new doctor, Dr. J. Y. Ferguson, arrived in Taiwan to reopen it, having been sent by the Canadian church. Later, he expanded the hospital because of increasing demand throughout the years. In 1912, a new hospital in Taipei was opened and named MacKay Memorial Hospital, and the venerable MacKay Clinic closed down entirely the same year. The building was used as a theological college, library, kindergarten, and students’ dorms. It is now designated as a historical site.
