馬偕藏品同時也呈現出100多年前臺灣社會的物質文化特性，以及採集者的觀看和關注焦點。馬偕採集的各類文物中，數量最豐富的是服飾，約有150多件；其次則是休閒嗜好用品和宗教祭儀用品。日常生活用具和製造工具相對比較少。

 

On the other hand, MacKay’s collections also represent the material and cultural characters of Taiwanese society more than 100 years ago, and also their collector’s point of view and focuses. When analyzing the types of collections, we found that clothing was the largest category, totaling around 150 pieces. The next largest categories were recreational and hobby items and religious and ritual items. Tools for daily use and manufacturing tools make up a relatively small portion.
